Process Project #2 Post #32

My phone was replaced recently, so I lost all of my photos and I do not have any pictures from this process. :(

For this project I have been focusing on creating a base layer which was a dark green and then on top creating a lighter more thicker different valued marks. I've been trying to really keep the negative space going because that is one of my main goals this project. I've really been focusing on being able to have that richness of the mark and continue to build upon my texture. I made a lot of progress so far, and I'm so excited to see where this project ends up going. I am learning a lot about how paint boards and water and paint interact more because when 2 wet paints interact it creates a much more splashier effect, and I really like the way that looks. I like the way that the mark looks on top of the wet paint after it's dried especially with a thicker medium, and I like the way that the surface comes up and creates a topographical shape on the canvas. I'm really excited to see where this piece ends up and I'm really liking the starting point.
