Process Post #22

This is my most recent painting. I have been focusing on creating distorted faces and capturing the idea of insecurity. My goals were to create an open composition and incorporation text into my paintings better. For my next steps I am going to create another face that is going in the opposite direction of the other too. Also I think I am going to orient this horizontally so the faces can't be seen unless the piece is looked at more closely. I also am going to create more texture with paint skins and different mediums, like gel gloss and modeling paste. I really want to add in a bit of yellow and create some more line quality so that there is more variety. I really like how the black paint and the charcoal are laid on top of each other. This kind of layering is something I want to develop.
