Even though I chose guitars as my subject, if I were to do it all over again I would do a mirror ball/disco ball. I love the shape and reflectivity of the subject. Most importantly it can be seen in a million different angles and mediums and never look the same and that adds a special new way to see it every time. It can also be broken which adds more form to it so its not just spherical every time. During phase 1 my theme was glaringly obvious. It was TAYLOR SWIFT. I guess I picked things to create from her works because its easy for me to find things in her songs and its really fun. I had the most fun looking for parts of Taylor Swift songs and making something of my own with it. I liked analyzing the songs and albums to find something to create. Finding a new way to create art out of music (which is also art) is why I liked phase 1 so much. My favorite media was the stickers because, even though the shapes were different in the end they made one larger piece. I was surprised to see of how creative I had to get when I was not allowed to repeat a subject/media. The hardest part was in phase 2 and it was picking the media because wanted it to look good, but the pieces had to be unconventional if I was going to do something different each time. I think I should explore the idea of music and the general idea of self expression through someone's passion.
