Lunchtime Lecture Reaction Post #3

Noelani uses her art to create a sense of community and an appreciation for the natural world. She is a weaver and is from Thurmont, Maryland. She uses loom and the spaces in her work to create identity and form in her piece. She also goes to see other weavers and works with them to create ideas. I wonder if she mixes and matches looming styles as well as techniques. Since I do not have a lot of experience on weaving I cannot really tell her work. Is mixing and matching things like that seemed to be bold or common?
