Oura Sananikone’s lecture was really interesting. He talked about how he creates art in many forms—comics, paintings, music, and animation—and how he never waits for permission to share his work. His Do-It-Yourself mindset stood out to me. Instead of worrying about being perfect, he believes in making things and learning from mistakes.  His ability to embrace failure as part of growth also stood out. He views mistakes as stepping stones rather than setbacks. I also found it interesting how his background as Laotian-American influences his art. It made me wonder about how can artists tell personal stories while making their work relatable to everyone?
